Pachico's EcoTours is a place where, after a day in the boats, you'll want to come back to camp and laugh, dance, and cry joyfully about what you have just experienced.

This may be as close to "heaven" as one gets on earth.

The Pachico Tour
Befriend the whales on our most popular tour.

($85.00 US)

This exhilarating 5 hour whale watching tour maximizes time in the lagoon and allows a group to really bond with the whales and the lagoon surroundings including spending 3 hours in the authorized gray whale observation area. You'll leave camp at approximately 10am; observe an incredible variety of seabirds and other marine life (including bottlenose dolphin and even endangered sea turtles) en route to the observation area. There you will spend 1.5 hours admiring the whales in their home while your English speaking naturalist guide helps you to understand what you are witnessing. Next you’ll be whisked off to a pristine sandy beach or mangrove estuary where you can explore and enjoy seeing whale bones, sand dunes with millions of sea shells (we enforce a no collecting rule) and take a break for a delicious Mexican lunch. Following lunch it will be time for more gray whale watching during a second 1.5 hours in the observation area where you’ll have another chance to interact with these gentle giants.

*Lunch and required El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve Park daily fee are included.

The Spyhop
Meet the whales on our traditional tour.

($45.00 US)

You'll embark on a 2.5-3 hour boat ride where you’ll get a taste of the notorious friendly whales of San Ignacio Lagoon. Visit with the whales for 1.5 hours and enjoy an encounter that will make a lasting impression. Our boats allow us to be very close to the surface of the water and small group size (never more than 10) provides a personal experience.

*Morning Boats depart at 10am and reservations are highly recommended. Afternoon Spyhop tours are possible however we do not typically pre-reserve these spaces.

*Required El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve Park daily fee is included.
